Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why are your classes priced the way they are?
Our classes are priced competitively with other knitting programs. Remember that in addition to learning how to knit, you're learning the intricacies of each pattern, and the ongoing telephone support. You are also getting the benefit of learning to knit with other women who share your interests. That community isn't always found in knitting classes.
2. Your class schedule doesn't fit my schedule. What can I do?
I am happy to schedule a special class for you or to bring the class to your neighborhood. All I ask is that you have at least three people to join the class. Call me at 303-345-7620 or email me to check on my availability for a special class.
3. When are you going to have a class in my neighborhood?
I am always looking for new locations to hold classes. If you know of a location that would allow up to ten people to have a knitting class for two hours, please let me know. I'll check into it and work on scheduling a class.
4. Can I bring my children to learn to knit?
Absolutely! I love to teach kids. I find that kids should be at least six years old to get the most fun and best experience out of knitting. I do put together classes for groups of kids (scout troops, church groups, or just knitting parties) but I do need to limit the group to no more than 8 kids at a time These classes are 2 hours long and cover only the basics of knitting. Please email me for rates for these events.
You may bring your children to a regularly scheduled class, as well. Please contact me and I will let you know if there is space for your children in class. Their class tuition is the same as the adult tuition.
4. Where are your classes held?
Regularly scheduled classes are held at my home in Highlands Ranch. I teach in a home setting because I believe people learn better when they are comfortable. It's harder to get comfortable in a folding chair under fluorescent lights. I also want you to knit in the same conditions you'll have at your home.
