Knitting parties are a great way to spend some time with your friends. Any of my classes can be a knitting party. Learn to knit parties are $35 per person and include all the supplies you need to get started. Each party is two hours long and can be held at your location or at mine!

Here are some sample ideas for a knitting party! Schedule one of these classes or create your own! Kits are available for purchase, or you may bring your own supplies. Kits include yarn and pattern. Please supply your own needles.

Lace Scarf

This beautiful lace scarf makes a fun introduction to lace knitting. An easy to memorize and fun to knit pattern will get you started with lace and excited about the possibilities. You'll get started on the pattern during the party and get pointers on how to block your scarf so that the lace pattern appears and stays in place. Kits are available for this project for $10. You will need to bring your own needles (Size 7US is recommended).

Modern Baby Blanket

This not-square baby afghan is a great on the go project because you crochet up the round motifs and then connect them when you are ready to finish. Using a fun new yarn and a size H hook, you'll enjoy this project. It also makes a great project for a group baby shower. Each person makes a motif, and they are stitched together for the mom-to-be. Kits for this class are $30. Please bring your own size H hook.

Felted Baby Booties

Every baby needs warm booties! These booties knit up fast on two needles and are fun to felt. Make them all the same color or add a second color to the sole. In the party, we'll get one bootie finished and leave you with the other to complete at home, along with the felting. Kits are available for this party for $12. Please bring your own size 11 needles.

Crochet Star Afghan

This stunning star afghan can be made for babies or for adults! Choose a baby yarn for a unique baby gift that's sure to be saved for future generations. Choose bulky yarn for an afghan that can be used in your living or bedroom! Kits for this project are for the baby version and are $30. Please bring your own size K hook. Crochet Basket

These fun baskets are from Chickpea Studios and are just adorable for any storage needs. Make them as a housewarming gift, to keep things organized in your car, or to give to a new mom for keeping up with all those tiny baby socks. The finished size is about 8" in diameter and 9" high, although you can make new baskets in whatever size you like after the party! The pattern is easily adaptable to other yarns and sizes. Kits are available for $8. Kits include contrasting color yarn for the edging. Please bring your own size G hook.

Lacy Shrug

Another fun lace project. This shrug is made from sportweight yarn and is a lovely way to keep your shoulders warm as you read or knit in bed! Kits for this project are $15. Please bring your own size 9 needles.
