Real Madrid 2016-17 Adidas × Parley Shirt

Parley is an organization to protect marine environment. It is set up to raise awareness for the beauty and fragility of our oceans and lots of specialists in all walks of life come together to collaborate on projects that can end their destruction. Captain Paul Watson said that “If the oceans die, we die.” In 2016, Adidas, a global sportswear brand, and Parley for the Oceans launched jointly the “adidas × Parley” home jerseys for Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, which was the first cooperation between the two sides. Players of Bayern Munich would put on this jersey in the game against Hoffenheim on 5 November 2016 for the first time and only time. Players of Real Madrid would wear the shirt to play in the home match against Sporting Gijon at the Santiago Bernabeu on 26 November 2016.

The unique Real Madrid shirt is made from reclaimed ocean waste. It also features the club crest, classic Adidas three stripes, brand logo and sponsorship branding in eco-friendly water-based print. The ribbed V-neck collar makes the shirt more stylish. “For the oceans” is printed on a back-neck tape. In addition, fans can know more information about this partnership by a small “adidas x Parley” label with an integrated NFC chip at the bottom of the shirt. The breathable material keeps players cool and dry in the game. What’s more, the shirt is part of Adidas sustainable product program. With environmental friendly prints, the shirt looks more sustainable.

Wear the brand new shirt and show your support to the most successful football club.

“The Ocean is a place I hold close to my heart after growing up in Rio de Janeiro and I have fond memories of playing on the beach when I was a kid. It’s amazing to be part of this project and to know that the club I love is making a difference in helping to keep the oceans clean.” said Madrid, a key member of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid won Bayern Munich in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League in the 2017-18 and successfully reached the finals of the competition, which was the fourth time when they reached the finals in five years. Accordingly, Zidane became the first head coach in Real Madrid’s history to lead the team to the Champions League final three times in a row. They will play a game against Liverpool in the final in Kiev on May 26.

After the game against Bayern, Zidane said:“Champions League is in the DNA of the club. We never stop fighting up to the very last minute, just as the Bayern players did tonight.” He also said that Benzema had always tried his best to help the team in the game and he was always an important member of the team.

Although Barcelona has won the La Liga title, Zidane believes that Real Madrid is the best team in European football and they have the opportunity to compete for their 13th UEFA Champions League trophy.
